The Mannequin Challenge: KBL Edition

Planking is gone. Tebowing is gone. Cat-breading is gone.

We thought the Mannequin Challenge had gone by the wayside as well. But, South Korea won’t let it fall into the cyber-abyss quite yet.

At the Korean Basketball League (KBL) All-Star game, the Senior and Junior teams pulled off one heck of a Mannequin Challenge, mid-game no less.

American, and former D-Leaguer Michael Craig let the shot clock expire, and hoisted up a shot. On the miss, every player on the floor froze. The benches and coaching staff’s of both sides also went motionless. Nobody moved for a solid 15 seconds.

Well played South Korea, well played.

The Senior team won 150-126, in a high scoring, sloppy affair – typical of most basketball all-star games.

Oh Se-Keun, a 6’7″ blocky, post-player, perhaps best known for his role as a reserve on the South Korean National Team led all scorers with 29 points.
